Based on experience on waiting time of recently approved EAD's, on an average how long does it take to renew the EAD.

Joe - I just tested out kWordpad (http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=265975), and it actually works the way you want it to. You can hit the Bold button and begin typing, and all of the text appears in Bold. Is that not what you are seeing?

Provisions related to Employment based Greencards:
*Recaptures unused family-based and employment-based visas previously allocated by Congress which remain unused.
* Increases the per country limits of family and employment-based visas from 7% to 10%: Right now, each country only has a 7% share of the total cap of visas that Congress allocates each year. Increasing each country's percentage of visas would eliminate the absurdly long wait times for individuals to immigrant from certain countries like the Philippines, China, and India.
This bill is similar to S 1085 introduced in the Senate with regard to employment-based visa provsions - basically recapture and increase per country limits from 7 to 10%
Guys, there is nothing to be excited about for EB folks in this bill.. This appears to help FB folks and in the name of re-union, which is a good thing ofcourse but, for us.. If I read between the lines, I have a bad feeling... Are they trying to re-capture the EB wasted visa numbers along with FB wasted and allocate all those to FB folks? :confused:
Let the EB folks live this same life?

Per Mattheww Oh's web site, Senate Judiciary Subcommittee Immigration Oversight Hearings were held on 04/19/2007 and 04/20/2007. I haven't read the details yet. we just came back from india (June end) to SFO
At primary area the officer just saw AP, scanned passports, checked something in the computer and sent us to secondary area.
At secondary inspection just submitted APs(all copies),passport. After 45 mins they called us
returned the passport, I-94, and one original AP all stamped
If you are married and your wife is coming alone make sure she has all original copies of AP
We came from ahmedabad, and the immigration officer knew about AP so was smooth, but can be a real headache if airline guys are unaware of it (headache means time consuming).

I strongly feel that AILA and their associates are pretty good at predicting the policy changes within USCIS / DOL. In my observation, such statements by leading immigration Attorneys have resulted in near future procedural / policy changes. I consider this as an hint to all GC seekers to brace for I140 PP across the board, not just for people on the H1B brink.
Does anyone feel the same? any thoughts?
I did not believe it at that time (July). However, looking at the flow of approvals from even NSC (they processed my case filed in April 2008); I now believe that I 140 premium processing will resume soon (in next couple of months).
I am not sure how will they phase it in; may be first for all new filings and/or for people with current PD and then more widespread (hopefully based on PD).
TSC has been processing 2008 cases since past 3 months and NSC is doing so for at least a month now (they seem to have processed July/Aug cases for the past 10 months). Also, the first couple of quarters will be slow as far as I 485 processing goes...so they can probably concetrate on I 140s and resume flow of MONEY :p

Jaime - my friend - I am in for another rally. What worries me is that, there is still a lack of motivation from the immigrant community. We need atleast 50,000 skilled workers rallying in DC.
