Some where I read that there is no fee for renewal of AP. I am a Jul 07 filer and am not sure about this. Further already applied last year for Advance parole and traveled once. it got expired last month. I am applying for a new one again. So just wanted to know if I need to pay the fees $305.
So my questions are:
Does July 07 filers need to send the cheque for $305 for AP renewal. (My I 485 Reciept Date is Aug 2007)
Should we also include Biometric fee of $80?
And how much time approx is it taking these days for AP?

Friends,
We are future permanent residents waiting in queue, for sure many of us are going to get GCs in few weeks/months/years. Considering this situation lawmakers can give us a chance to get the GC faster than waiting in the queue just by buying a house. But still they are searching for another solution than which could be effective.

I am also on the same boat.For me and my wife we only I-765 recipts only and the rest are not there.Checks are also encahsed only for this.I am not sure what is is the logic and which one will follow is it 485 then rest .

I've filed for the I-140 with EB-1 category in business, then additional evidence was requested and finally received a denial. I would like to know:
1. What are the chances to get approved after appealing?
2. If I were to appeal can I present new evidence?
3. After filing the appeal, how long should I expect to receive an answer from DC office?
4. If I ask for additional time before appealing, what are the chances that the additional time will be approved?
5. Is it better to appeal or to request a motion to reopen whenever I gather the new info to defend my case?
6. Do I have better chances if I skip both appealing and motion to reopen and focus on re filing a new case?

Congrats all Minolta users, I know you've been waiting for this for a long time!
I hope this is a winner, I really liked Minolta cause they ALWAYs gave the most camera at the best price. And their film cameras always screamed of class!
Lets hope this camera can live up to my expectations, I just don't know how that image stabilization will work.

My wife is currently in the US on H4 Status and she is taking classes at a local university on a part time basis.
We are planning to go for our visa revalidation next month.
How should i answer DS 156 Question #33.Do you intend to study in the US? for my wife?
I think i should answer yes since she will continue taking classes after we come back to the US. Will this be an issue since she is on H4?

Assuming his I-140 gets rejected, is it going to impact his current EB3 process ? Remember, he is going to be on board with the new company only after I-140 process. By the way, new Labor will take atleast 5-6 months. Advertising, etc

If your stay is less than 1 year abroad, you can reenter using just your green card. If you want to stay 1-2 years outside the U.S, you will have to apply for a reentry permit before departure. But, it will be considered as a break (i.e, more than 1 year abroad) in the continous residence requirement of 5 years when it comes to your naturalization application.
If you want to stay longer than that, you will have to apply for "returning resident permit" for which you need to prove that your intent is to be a permanent resident but, your stay abroad longer than the period of the reentry permit was beyond your control.
Please consult an attorney so that you don't lose your PR.

Yes it seems USCIS is also asking the public to help improve its website. It has posted a link on its homepage "Help improve uscis.gov" which was supposed to take you to another page. Unfortunately that link is broken as of now. If you click on it, it takes you to a blank page.

You can use EAD with current employer. I think your company has to do the change your I9 form to EAD. You don't need to inform as you are not changing any company.

I have got exactly the same RFE.....i am going to send the same documents and hoping that this is enough. There was one question that was bothering me on my i485RFE. It started like this...............
Your FORM I485 Application Must be accompanied with two colored Photographs.................
I am confused if they mean that i should re submit the i485 application or just the letter taht came with it.
i also never got any colored sheet as i have heard most of the people got. Is this normal practise or something i should be conserned about
